Nino Maghradze is a Counsel at MKD Law, focusing on the energy sector. She is an accomplished energy professional with over 15 years of experience in renewable project development, electricity markets, and regulatory compliance. Throughout her career, she has held positions at companies such as Caucasus Clean Energy Holding, Cerberus Frontier, Schulze Global Investments, KG Energy LLC, and Georgian Investment Group Energy. Her practical experience also encompasses work at the Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE).

Ms. Maghradze’s key achievements and projects include leading commercial and regulatory compliance for a portfolio of seven small and medium-sized HPPs. She advised as an Electricity Market Expert for USAID and the Ministry of Economy on Georgia's National Energy Policy. She successfully collaborated with EBRD, LDK Consulting, and Nord Pool on the development of an electricity trading platform for the Government of Georgia, assisting in drafting market rules. As an expert, she has contributed to international projects by the European Commission, Helvetas, and SEURECA SAS, conducting market analyses and promoting renewable energy adoption. She also actively engages with government agencies on PPP regulation and policy compliance.

Nino holds a PhD in Power and Electrical Engineering from Georgian Technical University. She earned a Master's degree in Sustainable Energy from Tallinn and Tartu Universities. She also studied at the Upper Austria University of Applied Science. Dr. Maghradze is a regular speaker at international energy conferences and the author of numerous publications on electricity markets and renewable energy. Furthermore, she is an invited lecturer at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) and the University of Georgia. She previously served as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board on Energy Issues for the Parliament of Georgia.
